Large 19th Century Victorian Stately Eagle Cast Iron Door Knocker.

A striking and substantial Victorian cast iron door knocker featuring a proud eagle motif, a design commonly associated with grand country houses and stately entrance doors of the 19th century. The eagle is beautifully modelled with outstretched wings and textured feather detail, perched above an ornate classical backplate with scrolling decoration and a large heavy ring knocker.
