Beautiful Original Antique French Still Life Oil Painting On Canvas Of Flowers.
A beautiful original antique French still life oil painting on canvas, depicting an abundant arrangement of flowers displayed in a warm-toned vase.
The composition features soft cream and yellow roses amongst delicate foliage and smaller blooms, set against a wonderfully atmospheric muted green and brown background. The artist has used particularly attractive raised and textured brushwork to the flowers, giving the petals depth and an almost three-dimensional quality.
This charming painting was personally sourced from a traditional Brocante in France and has a lovely authentic French country-house feel. It would look wonderful displayed in a period, rustic or traditional interior.
Measures approx 40 x 30cm
The painting has age-related wear around the edges of the canvas, including some small areas of paint loss and rubbing, clearly visible in the photographs. This adds to its genuine aged character and could largely be concealed if the painting were framed.
A very decorative and atmospheric one-off French floral oil painting, ideal for a gallery wall, French country interior or collector of traditional still-life artwork.
