The Samburu played a very great role to their Community. Chiefs were replaced or placed according to wealth and personalities. They had Identification to differentiate them from others. The role was to guide and settle desputes in their Community. This carving depicts a Samburu Chief resting after addressing meeting. It a was a very hardwork for Chiefs to make such fierce tribes to Compromise. He is dressed well In a traditional attire of the Chief’s. The stick and the bracelets are part of their Chief's uniform. Musa, the artist hails from Wamunyu village-home of wood carvers. He is a specialist of people carvings. His artwork is very much detailed He inherited carving from his father and started carving at the age of fourteen years. Musa never went to School by He has two wives and fourteen children. He rears a few cattle which he inherited from his father
