This is a lovely atmospheric street scene watercolor — it depicts a misty urban view with figures walking along a wet street, a horse-drawn carriage, and buildings fading into the distance. Unfortunately, there aren’t any distinct landmarks that clearly identify the exact location, but the setting and style suggest it could be an early 20th-century European city scene — possibly somewhere in Britain, given the architecture and subject matter.

Digby Page was born in 1945. He first took up painting in 1971 whilst working as head of advertising at a local engineering firm. After several years combining art with career, he turned professional in 1977, since when he has earned a living entirely by the brush.
Digby Page has had numerous one man exhibitions around the Midlands area. One of which had paintings featured on BBC Television. The type of work he produces includes landscapes, seascapes, still lifes, Victorian Street scenes, etc. both oils and watercolours.
Having work in many private collections across the world, including U.S.A. Phillippines, New Zealand, Australia, Japan and Europe.
Digby Page lives in Derbyshire with his wife and their two daughters
