Robert Taylor’s Operations on depicts the last few tense moments as a Lancaster squadron crews-up for a night operation over the Ruhr. Limited edition prints were released in 1985 as a tribute to Sir Arthur ‘Bomber’ Harris.

Sir Arthur Harris (1892–1984) ‘Bomber Harris’ was a British military leader who commanded RAF Bomber Command during World War II, implementing strategic bombing against Nazi Germany. A former pilot in the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force, he is known for developing Bomber Command into a powerful force for large-scale offensive operations.
His policies focused on destroying German industrial capacity and causing collateral damage to the civilian population, earning him the nickname "Bomber" or "Butcher" Harris
