This is a charming and elegant New Hall porcelain plate, dating from the late 18th century (c.1785–1800). Finely made in the typical early soft-paste body, it features a delicate hand-painted acorn and foliage design, enriched with deep cobalt blue leaves and rich gilding.
The central well shows a single acorn motif surrounded by gilt foliage, while the border is decorated with repeating cobalt and gilt acorn sprays, all framed with gilt rims. A lovely example of early English porcelain with fine decorative detail.
Measures approx 19.5 x 16cm
In very good antique condition for its age. Minor age-related wear to the gilding and paint in places, as expected from a piece over 200 years old. No cracks or repairs seen. Displays beautifully.
