A wonderful early Victorian solid silver 3-piece christening set, fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1837. This charming set comprises a matching, fork and spoon, etc each finely crafted and decorated in a classic period style. A lovely example of early Victorian silversmithing with elegant detail and excellent craftsmanship throughout.
The pieces carry clear hallmarks, including the anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office, the lion passant for sterling silver, and the date letter for 1837 – the very first year of Queen Victoria’s reign. A beautiful and historically significant set, perfect for collectors, gifting, or display.
