Impressive Pair of Antique Doulton Lambeth Art Nouveau Floral Decorated Stoneware Vases – Large
A magnificent and very large pair of antique Doulton Lambeth stoneware vases, dating to the late 19th / early 20th century and beautifully decorated in the classic Lambeth manner.
One has a small chip at the foot stem area, please see all photos which form part of the description
Each vase is richly modelled and decorated with bold raised floral motifs, featuring deep cobalt blue blooms with brown and cream foliage set against a textured stoneware ground. The lower sections are finished in a striking dark glaze with additional floral detail, and both vases stand on substantial circular footed bases. The interiors are glazed in a deep blue.
These vases are impressive in scale, making them ideal as statement decorative pieces for a grand interior, hallway, mantel or period setting. The quality of the modelling and glazing is excellent and typical of Doulton Lambeth’s finest work.
Both vases are matching, slightly different in the glaze colouring and display beautifully together.
