A truly striking pair of late 19th-century brass candlesticks, dating to circa 1890, featuring the highly attractive and sought-after “Queen of Diamonds” faceted design.
Beautifully proportioned with elegant baluster stems, diamond-cut central sections and octagonal stepped bases, these candlesticks have a wonderful architectural presence and a rich golden patina developed over more than a century. The quality of casting and weight reflects their Victorian craftsmanship.
Both bases are stamped “Queen of Diamonds”, confirming the pattern and period. They display very well and would suit both a traditional interior or a more contemporary setting as statement decorative pieces.
Condition:
Very good antique condition overall. Light surface wear and gentle age-related marks consistent with use and age, adding to their authentic character.
