Antique Georgian New Hall Black Transferware Plate c.1795–1805
A charming and authentic Georgian-era earthenware plate by New Hall, dating to circa 1795–1805. Decorated with a finely detailed black transfer-printed rural cottage scene, typical of late 18th-century English pottery, with trees, fencing and countryside beyond.
The plate has a creamware body with a black-lined rim, consistent with New Hall production of the period. The reverse bears an old Huxley-Robinson Collection label and a handwritten attribution noting New Hall and the date range, adding to its provenance and collectability.
Measures approx 17cm x 14cm and has a tiny chip to base rim as I’ve tried to show in photo graph. Quite an old chip so might have been done when made
