A classic and highly collectible HMV Model 99 portable gramophone, one of the most iconic British gramophones ever produced. Made by His Master’s Voice (HMV), this model dates to the late 1920s–1930s and is renowned for its robust build, portability, and surprisingly powerful sound.
Housed in its original black rexine-covered case with carry handle, the gramophone opens to reveal a polished metal tonearm, original turntable, and internal soundbox. The inside lid features the famous “His Master’s Voice” logo with Nipper the dog, a timeless symbol of early recorded music.
This is a wonderful decorative piece, conversation starter, or restoration project, and a must-have for collectors of early sound equipment, vintage interiors, or British musical history.
Looks to be in working order but I haven’t got a record to test it out properly so sold as not fully tested
