Archibald Thorburn (1860-1935) was a renowned wildlife artist, particularly famous for his detailed watercolours of game birds
The original painting, which depicts ptarmigans in a tundra landscape, is a celebrated example of his work and was painted in 1927 this is a limited edition of that which was published by Tryon Galleries in 1975
The frame measures approx 62vm x 50cm
