A striking vintage ceramic Foo Dog (Chinese guardian lion) table lamp base, finished in a glossy blanc-de-chine style white glaze and beautifully modelled with expressive facial features and flowing stylised fur.
The Foo Dog stands proudly on a geometric plinth base and retains its original brass lamp fitting and curved arm, giving it wonderful character and presence. These guardian lions traditionally symbolise protection, strength and good fortune, making this both a decorative and symbolic interior piece.
A superb statement lamp for eclectic, Chinoiserie or mid-century inspired interiors — equally suited to a console table, sideboard or bedside.
Good vintage condition overall. Light age-related wear. Brass showing natural patina. Will be rewired snd in working order before sending.
