A handsome antique oak armchair featuring beautifully carved scrolling detail to the front stretcher, shaped arms, and turned supports — very much in the Arts & Crafts / Jacobean revival style.
The chair has a high upholstered back and generous seat, finished in its original floral fabric with decorative stud edging. The oak frame displays lovely aged colour and patina, with carved motifs to the arms and apron adding real character.
A solid, well-proportioned chair — ideal as a fireside chair, bedroom feature piece, hallway accent, or reading chair.
Measures approx 116cm x 65cm wide x 56cm deep and seat height approx 41cm high
Structurally sound and usable as is. Upholstery shows wear, fading, stains and a worn patch to the seat (clearly visible in photos), so would benefit from re-upholstery if perfection is required — priced accordingly. Frame shows age-related marks and character consistent with an antique piece.
