Beautiful late Victorian tilt-top occasional table dating to approximately 1880–1900, featuring a wonderfully shaped scalloped pie-crust top and elegant tripod cabriole base with carved feet.
The solid hardwood top tilts smoothly into the upright position, allowing easy storage or display – a classic and practical Victorian feature. The shaped rim is crisply carved, framing the rich aged surface which displays a lovely warm patina developed over more than a century.
Supported on a turned central column leading to three graceful cabriole legs with carved detail to the knees and feet, giving the table real presence and period character.
Perfect as a lamp table, side table, wine table or plant stand, equally at home in traditional interiors or as a statement antique piece in a modern setting.
Measures approx 107cm high when tilted in to upright position and measures approx 76cm diameter x 65cm high when in the table position
