A charming antique Black Forest carved wooden collector’s cabinet, beautifully crafted with intricate floral carving and rich dark patina typical of the Black Forest style. These small cabinets were often made in the late 19th to early 20th century and were used for storing jewellery, small keepsakes, stamps, or collectors’ curiosities.
The cabinet features two carved panel doors with detailed floral motifs, opening to reveal a delightful interior fitted with multiple small drawers and compartments, reminiscent of a miniature apothecary or specimen cabinet. Above the doors sits a decorative frieze drawer with carved foliate detailing, while the top is finished with three elegant finials and carved edging.
Inside are six small drawers and two upper compartments, providing useful storage for jewellery, coins, watches, or other small collectibles.
The piece stands on small bun feet and displays excellent craftsmanship with deep relief carving and well-proportioned architectural detailing, making it both decorative and practical.
