Constructed from mahogany, the table features two small drawers to the front with matching false drawers to the reverse, allowing it to be positioned attractively in the centre of a room. The drawers retain their original locks, although there is no key present.
Beneath the top is a useful pull-out fabric storage compartment for larger sewing items, patterns, or materials. The table stands on its original swivel castor wheels, making it easy to move around when needed.
A practical and decorative piece with plenty of character, ideal as a sewing table, occasional table, or side table. It is in average overall condition with age-related wear and marks consistent with use over time. The drop leaf parts, one has an old split to surface and the leaf parts don’t sit quite level as there’s a bit of warping. One of the false knobs is missing where someone has tried to pull it not realising it was a false drawer. Looks lovely with flaps down as you can see from photos and pull out compartment is in good condition
