A charming and authentic Georgian period country oak side table or lowboy, dating from the late 18th century. This attractive piece features a well-patinated rectangular plank top above a single full-width drawer fitted with traditional brass swan-neck handles, all raised on sturdy square legs.
Displaying the rich colour, character and wear expected of a genuine Georgian country piece, this table has a wonderfully rustic appearance with a beautifully aged surface and plenty of historic charm. Its compact proportions make it ideal for use as a side table, lamp table, hall table, or occasional table in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Measures approx 72cm x 40.5cm deep x 48cm high
In good antique condition for its age, with expected signs of wear, marks, surface scratches and historical use consistent with over 200 years of age. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description. Underneath there are some very old woodworm holes which were treated years ago and can’t be seen as under base of drawer
