Florence L. Barclay – My Heart’s Right There
Published by G. P. Putnam’s Sons, London & New York, 1915.
An original early edition of Florence L. Barclay’s wartime novel My Heart’s Right There, first published during the First World War and dedicated “To Our Men At The Front”. The title is derived from the famous wartime song It’s a Long Way to Tipperary, reflecting the patriotic sentiment of the period.
This copy retains its original publisher’s purple cloth binding with gilt lettering and an attractive Union Flag decoration to the front board. An evocative and increasingly collectible example of First World War literature.
Condition:
* Binding remains sound overall
* Wear and rubbing to boards and spine
* Some fading and marking commensurate with age
* age toning internally
* Please study photographs carefully as they form part of the description
A charming and historically significant wartime novel by the author of the bestselling The Rosary.
