A superb limited edition signed print by renowned railway artist Don Breckon, titled ‘Bulliver at Nursery Pool’, depicting a charming Great Western Railway steam train crossing the River Dart near Buckfastleigh in beautiful Devon countryside.
This atmospheric artwork captures GWR 0-4-2T No. 1470 with its autocoach crossing the river after leaving Buckfastleigh, bound for Totnes. ‘Bulliver’ was the local nickname for the autotrain that served the Totnes to Ashburton branch line during the Great Western Railway era.
Published in 1995 on behalf of the South Devon Railway Trust Ltd, the print is hand signed by Don Breckon and is numbered 135 of a limited edition of just 850 copies, making it an excellent piece for railway enthusiasts and collectors alike.
The artwork features wonderful detail, with the steam locomotive crossing the bridge over the River Dart surrounded by tranquil woodland and riverside figures, creating a nostalgic scene of Britain’s railway heritage.
