Vintage Fibreglass Sculpture of Guanyin (Kuan Yin) – Oriental Bodhisattva Figure – Large Decorative Statue
Bring a sense of tranquillity and Eastern elegance to your home with this striking vintage fibreglass sculpture depicting Guanyin (also known as Kuan Yin), the revered Bodhisattva of Compassion in Buddhist tradition.
The figure is beautifully modelled standing gracefully in flowing robes, with hands arranged in a traditional gesture of offering and compassion, symbolising mercy, kindness and the willingness to help those in need. Delicate facial features, elongated earlobes and an ornate headdress complete this serene representation.
Finished in a verdigris-style patina with warm bronze tones, the sculpture has an attractive aged appearance that makes it an eye-catching decorative piece for a home, meditation room, gallery or interior design setting.
Made from fibreglass, making it lighter than bronze while still providing an impressive presence.
Condition:
Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description. The sculpture has various areas of paint loss, chips and surface wear, together with age-related marks and crazing consistent with use and display. Despite the losses, it remains a very decorative and characterful piece. I can’t promise there won’t be further loss during transit so please bear this in mind and happy for you collect if preferred
