Vintage Hand-Tinted Sepia Portrait Photograph of Young Girl – Pencil Signed – Framed 39 x 51cm
A beautiful and charming vintage studio portrait photograph depicting a young girl with gorgeous blonde curls, delicate features and a gentle smile.
The child is captured resting her folded arms on a polished surface, looking directly towards the camera.
This delightful period photograph has been artistically hand-tinted, with subtle blonde colouring to the hair, delicate pink tones to the dress and natural flesh tones, creating a wonderfully soft and lifelike appearance.
The photograph displays the elegant soft-focus portraiture associated with early 20th-century studio photography.
Of particular interest is the original pencil signature beneath the photograph, appearing to read A. Sanderson-Lowe, although the photographer’s identity has not been conclusively established.
Good vintage presentation with some age-related discolouration, foxing and marks to the surrounding mount. The gilt frame displays minor wear and losses consistent with age. Please study the photographs as they form part of the description.
A wonderfully nostalgic piece of photographic history, capturing the innocence and charm of childhood.
An attractive addition to a collection of vintage photography or a beautiful decorative piece for a traditional interior.
