A beautifully detailed original 19th-century engraved map entitled “AUSTRALASIA AND POLYNESIA”, drawn and engraved by Russell & Sons, Penge, Surrey.


This attractive antique map features original hand-coloured geographical boundaries, delicate engraved lettering and an extensive depiction of Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and Southeast Asia.


The map is particularly interesting for its historical representation of the region during the 19th century, showing early geographical names, colonial settlements and territories before the development of modern national boundaries.
