Wayte & Ridge, Longton, figural plaque, circa 1870, modelled as a 17th century gentleman with a goatee, possibly Shakespearian, standing on a veined plinth with face mask below, decorated in pale green, pale blue, buff and white, all within a moulded brown frame border, impressed factory mark ‘W&R L’ and ‘128’,

Couple of slight original kiln cracks which can be seen on the reverse side of plaque as you can see in photos otherwise in amazing condition for its age
