The pewter foundry of Eduard Hueck started in 1814 when the Hueck brothers created the ‘Fabrik’ in diversen Knopfen und Handlung in Eisen, Stahl und Messingwaren (factory specialised in various metal buttons and commerce in iron steel and brass goods)
In 1864 the company name was changed to Eduard Hueck and is still in activity today
The best years concerning Jugendstil ‘Art Nouveau’ creations were around 1900 when Albin Muller, Peter Behren’s and Joseph Maria Olbrich designed various pieces for the company ( located in Ludenscheid, Germany)
This is one example of those pieces created at that time with the floral design so typical of the art nouveau era
This champagne bucket is beautiful with just a bit of a nick to the rim as photographed and wear to the pewter as to be expected of an item which is over 100 years old.
