Otto Gerrards who was Operations Manager at Ruscha Keramik in 1951 invented what we refer to today as Fat Lava Glaze. He set up his own Ceramik House ‘Otto Keramik’ in 1964
Sadly he has since passed away but his son Otto Junior continues his legacy producing original designs by his father, using the original moulds and glazes
